I’m an American female, born and raised in Philadelphia, my current home. I’ve also lived in Salem, Mass, taught English in Japan for three years, lived in Costa Rica for seven years, and have traveled extensively in Southeast Asia and Europe.
I’ve spent years in community theater, and have to admit that I love acting, and in my youth, I yearned to be a star of screen and stage when I grew up. Alas, that wasn’t to be, but voiceover acting gives me a chance to fulfil that dream in a small but significant way.
In Philly, I taught English for eleven years, and I think that my experience in teaching, both at home and abroad, has given me a facility with the language, and an awareness that both meaning and emotion must be conveyed in the skillful execution of a voiceover.
My voice is that of a mature female. I can sound warm, friendly and caring or informative, smooth, sophisticated, and scholarly. It is suitable for commercial as well as corporate, e-learning, medical, educational and documentary style reads.
